Ich dachte, ich zeige die jetzige Zustand meine Matchless Clubman nicht ganz klon.

Bilder nicht, nur ein schnelle Soundfile. Weil die Amp fuer Blues gedacht ist, habe ich ein bisschen pentatonische wanking in E gespielt. Gitar ist Tele mit Fender CS Nocaster pickups; in diesen Soundfile Neck, dann Bridge.

Lautsprecher ist ein Jensen C12K, weil das ist alles was ich hier Zuhause habe. Ich denke Celestion waere besser geignet, ich habe es durch ein Greenback gespielt, aber wahrscheinlich sind andere besser.

Aufnahme war Rode NT1A->Presonus TubePre->EMU0404->Cubase

Es gibt ein bissle Restbrumm, muss noch Trem einbauen, bin nicht ganz happy mit den Tonestack, aber den Grundsound gefaellt mir schon. Ich habe es hier nicht gezeigt, reagiert sehr gut auf Spieltechnik.

Habe ich das richtig verstanden - Du willst da ein Tremolo reinmachen? Das überlege ich für meinen Chieftain nämlich auch, falls der Reverb nicht so funktionieren sollte wie ich mir das vorstelle. Das gibt wieder neue Möglichkeiten der Namensgebung - z.B. "Trem Chief" - ist auch nicht schlechter als "Trem Cat".

ja, ich betrachte Trem als wichtiger als Reverb oder sonst was. Ich werde aber ein Chip fuer die Oscillator verwenden. Ein Sine-Wave ist ein Sine-Wave. Ich benutze einfachhalber Weber's oscillator board. Ich habe 4 Stuck davon.

Bezuglich Name, ich nenne es entweder 'Roscoe,' 'Pookie,' oder 'Betty.' Ich habe noch nicht entschieden.

ein paar Bilder. Ich habe aufgegeben, mein Lead-Dress wird nie die gewunschte Niveau erreichen. Alles was komisch aussieht ist provisorisch - es ist noch nicht fertig.

Danke, bin sehr glucklich mit den Klang.

Bass full (ich bin mit den Bass-Regler nicht zufrieden); Treble ~10:00; vol ~ 14:00, Master ~ 13:00; Brilliance ~ 09:00

Es hat von sich aus haufenweise Hoehen.

Ich habe den Matchless MV mit ein normalle PPIMV mit dual-250K ersetzt; der Matchless MV hat mir nicht so gut gefallen.

Es gibt nur 310V Va (statt ~ 400)

Mit Trem wird es noch mehr swamp. Klingt gut.

Man kann es sicher auch mit der ES125 spielen.
You got to face it: Dir fehlt eine ES335...

PS: Fast alle Kabel sehen gut aus. Aber: was ist das für eine Spule in blau und diese wunderbare Ansammlung close to the can cap in gelb? Ist das Rock'n'Roll?

'Susie Q' I know. Actually we do a Rudy Riotta song called 'In The Groove' which is just a Susie Q ripoff. 'Susie Q' was a Dale Hawkins song (1957) but he in turned ripped it off from an older blues singer. James Burton (Rickie Nelson, Elvis, Emmy Lou Harris) played on the original after Roy Buchanan refused to rip off the older blues singer. According to Buchanan.

Yes, a 335 is missing. I know. Always wanted one, a tobacco sunburst '62 with block inlays, a Bigsby, and a piece of plastic 'Custom Made' covering the stop holes. The last one I saw for sale just like that was $27K.

Haven't tried with the 125 yet.

The blue leads are the 15V tap from the NT, which will eventually power the relays, and maybe some goofy lights. Decided it was time to learn to do relays, so the trem will be controlled by one. Completely unnecessary, but as good a chance as any to figure out how to do it. Originally I was going to add a boost stage too, there's an unused socket/fassung/sockel and a few extra spots on the board for it. Decided after hearing it that no boost is necessary.

The yellow (and white) collection is the in/out for the PPIMV (4 leads) and the brilliance (2 more yellows).

No 335, but soon I pick up this:

Not really a clone, but certainly inspired by Vox, as all older Matchless. I thought I had enough Fender-style amps.

ECC83->EF86->ECC83LTPI-> cathode-biased EL34. Bizarre values on the first (paralleled) triode. Bizarre tone stack. Bizarre stuff between the PI and grids.

Won't have the guitar until I get to the US, Martin.

Hallo Häbbe,

nicht ganz. M.W. gab es bei VOX kein entsprechendes Vorbild. Auch die Klangregelung ist alles andere als VOX-like. Klanglich sind sie durchaus verwandt, aber der Clubman hat mehr Gain - so jedenfalls mein Eindruck nach allen Soundfiles, die ich bisher davon gehört habe. Leider hat Proguitar keine Soundfiles mehr auf der Website - da waren ein paar schöne Clubman-Beispiele dabei

Richtig. Erst die AC50 hat EL34, zB, aber den Clubman ist definitiv kein AC50
