Of course lifting the ground on one of the devices worked like a charm. Interesting enough, lifting the PE on the Revibe resulted in white noise from the tremolo oscillator. Lifting it on the amp was dead quiet.
Loed, the Revibe is crammed full, there is NO room- there is three times the circuitry as in a reverb-only unit. The turret board extends the full length of the chassis, with only a couple of mm free on either side. Adding the autogroundlift would be major surgery. I know though that it is the correct solution.
In case anyone is interested - I've attached a short MP3 of what the Revibe sounds like. I am an unrepentant tremolo freak, and this is the best sounding trem circuit there is. The only thing better is Maggie vibrato.
I WILL get this right.
