Hallo an alle,

Ich recherchiere seit 2 Monate wie man ein 5e3 bauen kann.

Bin hier Laie und habe ursprünglich auf die Kits von StewMac, MojoTone und Uraltone mich konzentriert. Ich konsolidiere die Information was ich brauche, da ich eher ein "step by step" Anweisung brauche.

Ist der 5ä3 MKII wirklich ein Teufelsarbeit zu bauen oder gibt es hier Tips und Tricks oder andere Anweisungen von euch was ich ausnutzen kann?

Es ist mir klar, dass der MKIi als kein Anfänger Projekt verkauft wird und das Risiko auf Fehlern oder was schlimmeres ist mir bewusst Habe ich mich hier informiert und die nötige Werkzeuge schon gekauft.

Bin persönlich so weit, dass ich die Layout Pläne / Schematics grob verstehe, mache mir nur Sorgen ob alles zu eng zu löten wird oder ob die Chance auf Fehlern für mich einfach zu gross sind.

Im schlimmsten Fall, suche ich ein Kit von Uraltone aus aber mittlerweile gefällt mir der MKII Mods und das Eyelet/PCB Board Von TubeTown. Alles ist sehr logisch aufgebaut und auch für ein nicht Elektroniker nachvollziehbar

Zur Info: Teil 1 mein Projektes ist fertig. Also, ich meine es ernst ein 5e3 nachzubauen

Kits from StewMac, MojoTone and Uraltone are original 5E3 kits,
the 5Ä3 -MKI also, the TT 5Ä3 - MKII has a semiconductor in one of the two channels. The kit itself is quite simple to build. I would order a complete kit first. That is easier.

Reporting back on my project, in English this time.

I was a complete beginner to amp building and electronics. I learnt a lot in learning to build a 5E3.

Amp safety was high only my list. I built a light bulb limiter, bought a snuffer stick and learnt to use a Multimeter.

Using the advice from Rob Robinette and Uncle Doug was also very, very important. Otherwise I needed the step by step builds provided by other suppliers for my first attempt at actually building an amp.

Most challenging was soldering in tight spaces, especially by the filters caps and V1. Soldering to a turret board was more difficult than expected.

My cabinet was build from parts from TubeTown, the 5e3 was from Uraltone as I wanted a European supplier with as many instructions as possible. In hindsight, what Tube Town provide is sufficient but it's probably too little for a beginner. But TubeTown are very explicit and clear on this.

My amp now sounds great. I had a problem with hum and bad soldering in the heater wires in V1.

Also to note, my Celestion Ruby sounds great clean in the 5e3 but the amp doesn't break up easily as I expected before. Seems amp selection is more is more important than I thought.

For anyone new to amp building and electronics, I'd recommend taking it on if you want to put the work in.
