bei mir steht ind er ecke ein Fender 75 Watt verstärker baujahr ende 1980.
da er seit einigen jahren kaum noch benutzt wurde und ich vorher nie einen richtigen check habe machen lassen würde ich hn wohl demnächst mal generalüberholen lassen (kapazitoren etc.)
der amp hat einige strukturelle schwächen: reverb ist im lead kanal schwächer und die verzerrung des lead kanals klingt in der regel schrecklich, weshalb eine nutzung mit normal als clean sound und lead kanal als verzerrter kanal eigentlich gar nicht funktioniert.
bei harmony central bin ich auf folgende ausführungen gestossen:
"My main complaint in the previous post was the "raspy" sound in the lead channel. I found a couple of fairly easy mods that helped smooth the lead sound a lot.
1. I changed the bias circuit from a bias balance to a bias adjust circuit. Also installed good NOS power tubes and decent preamp tubes.
2. I did a mod to the driver circuit that's described in Dan Torres' book "Inside Tube Amps". It was the "Black tolex" driver circuit and it improved the lead sound a lot. I know a lot of the Torres mods are controversial but this one worked for me.
3. I also changed the capacitor on the "mid boost" control to a smaller value to allow less boost. This made the boost control much more useable.
The amp now has great clean sounds and decent lead sounds...not as good as my Rivera but still very good. It's now a much more versatile amp."
da ich kein techniker bin, wollte ich mal fragen was ihr davon haltet oder ob jemand erfahrungen mit den 75ern hat.
