Have you any new clips?
Nigel

Nope, didn't have the time lately. Also, the guy i borrowed the recording interface from moved to the Netherlands :P Gotta buy one myself ::)
But the London City with #36 mod and added clean channel is still my main amp in the band.
Cheers

Hi Kilian, clean channel that sounds great, you should have a great rig there.

Well, it's just a very simple one. Used the second triode of V0, I think (!) I ended up with 220k at anode, 1k5||22uF at cathode and a 1n CC into a 1M pot. That's all, no tone controll. I don't play so much clean, so it's really enough for me. And for recording there is still the Twin 8)

Thats going to be my next challenge, #36 channel + good clean channel :)

Hey Nigel,
I just heard your Nighttrain version without backing track at SoundClick. Can you tell me how your specs differ from those you published at metroamp once (RYU's layout: http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/7185/dukeampsspecs.jpg (http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/7185/dukeampsspecs.jpg))?
Mine are pretty much the same, except for NFB (47k @ 8Ohm) and presence (old version with 5k pot). I also might have a .68uF at V0's cathode, but I don't remember that exactly. I know I wanted to try the .47uF but can't remember if I really did it ::)
Cheers

Hi Kilian, its a different spec, are you happy with your spec or would like to go in this direction?
Nigel
-
Well, I'm quite happy with mine but I think your's sounds even better ;D
I'm curious if it's just the recording or the amp itself. I would really like to try your specs, when I have time to open my amp again.

Well, hard to find anything that doesn't fit with this. I know, it's been said too many times in the AFD case but, finally, you nailed it! :headphone:

Cheers Kilian, thanks for you great feedback :) seems that only you & me are interested in the #36 tone here in Germany.
Thanks
Nigel

Maybe ;D
If there is any type of sound I would like to copy it is the AFD sound. For me, it's perfect RnR. Well, of course it needs more than just the amp, but it's a good start. Now I need a top hat and my rock star carreer can start. Just kidding. In fact, I should quit modding and concentrate on practicing ::)

Hi Nigel
Weiter so.
Bekommt man diesen Sound auch aus einem 2210? So einen hab ich nämlich noch rumstehen.
Gruß Michael

Hi Michael, thats great, yes the #36 for me is one of the best tones ever, just like EVH tone, there is no better tones, i'm sure any 50w or 100w amp can be modded to the #36 tone.
Cheers :)

Hi Nigel,
awesome sound, reminds me of good old Gary Moore!
Do you have any schematics that reflect exactly your mods?
What kind of speaker and cabinet did you use for the blues licks?
Thanks
Stephan
