Ursprunglich geplannt war ein goldtop undercoat - dh bronze-pulver wie beim ein LP - mit transparent purple. Da gabs aber probleme mit die transparent purple, und wir mussen wieder von Anfang an. Discussion hin und her, diesmal wird es doch nicht ein Candy Apple - aber der naechste wird ein 12-saiter sein, und den konnen wir so lackieren.

schade wegen purple, aber you can't always get what you want.  Mindestens bekomme ich ein matching headstock.

Ich hoffe, ich bekomme Bilder im Lauf diesese Wochenende.

I am no lacquer specialist but I think that a silver undercoat would have been more beneficial. They Tangerine on my Supercharger has also a silver undercoat as golden caused it to get too red....

Silver or Gold determine how deep the effect is. Number of coats of transparent plays a role. In this case the problem was with the purple lacquer itself - regardless of what it was put on top of.

Body detail. Pickups are custom-wound Dawgtown set, each pickup is mixed AlNiCo 2/5; slightly hotter than vintage, neck is rw/rp


Matching headstock, chrome logo. String tree is Graph Tech (makes bending easier and more reliable) and nut is Tusq


S1 switch, 5-way toggle, for "strat-o-tele" switching. Button down, standard Strat switching. Button up, standard Tele + neck/bridge series + middle/bridge series.


Bridge is a Hipshot - the only dual-load, 3-barrel, no lip bridge I could find. Replaced the saddles with Graph-Tech. Helps the bending.


Flame maple Warmoth neck, modern construction, boatneck profile, gun oil finish


A view of the back. The big black plate is the Hipshot Parsons-Green B Bender. The missing neck bolt is a long one, for attaching the strap when bending is not desired. I wanted plenty of room in the control cavity in case I ever install electronics.


Hipshot open-gear Grip Lock tuners. Lots of Hipshot stuff on this, it just worked out that way.


The Hipshot G-Bender attaches via two bushings. It wasn't mounted for these photos.

Impatient to get my hands on it.

Yo, das ist wirklich ein verdammt schönes Teil.

Wie gut funktioniert denn der Bender? Ich hätte eher erwartet, dass du einen Saitenreiter mit Rolle einbaust und evtl auf den Stringtree verzichtest... Ich hab auf meiner Strat seit kurzem einen Dynaguide.
